Indian Summer in North Yorkshire?

As we write Silpho is has spent most of the day bathed in sunshine.  August saw plenty of days of two or three seasons and little of the mid-summer of childhood memories.  Thankfully, our September guests have all enjoyed some good weather and have had a wonderful time exploring the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Coast, Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and beyond.  Those who have just wanted to recharge have done so.

We believe, purely on the basis of experience, that September ons October are wonderful months to escape to North Yorkshire.  The crowds have subsided but everything is still open.  The sea is warmer (although still bracing!) and the days seem to be more settled.  The vast expanse of the North York Moors can be at its very best as Summer gives way to Autumn.  The sunsets can be breathtaking.  We cannot guarantee the weather but we can offer a warm welcome, beautiful and dramatic landscapes and two wonderful places to stay - Folly Gill and Breaday Gill.
